Learning About Puberty Made Easy for Your Child
- Are you sure the “one big talk” really works?
- My ebooks are written for your child to teach themselves.
- Parents have flexibility as they prepare their child for puberty.
Don’t you think it is time to ditch the “one big talk” and maybe even stop relying so heavily on the one-time school puberty talk? I know that is a scary thought because that means the responsibility falls on you to make sure your child is prepared for puberty and beyond.
My mission is to support you, and so I am not going to leave you to sort out how and when to help your kids during this important time in their life. I have created a complete plan that lets your child discover what is happening in their body and why the changes are happening.
Where you begin is to look at a chart on the homepage of my website, Anatomy for Kids, and determine where to start based on what you know about your child.
For example, as early as 8 years old, you might already be noticing signs of early puberty in your child. Select the ebook for 8 year olds, Early Puberty Signs in Boys or Early Puberty Signs in Girls. You will immediately receive the ebook and you can give it to your child to read on their own or with you. The ebooks do all of the teaching. You get to be the fun mom or dad who is just there to provide favorite treats and encouragement.
Simply follow along the chart over the next 4-5 years, providing new ebooks along the way, and you can be confident your child has learned all they need to know about the changes happening in their body during puberty. The ebooks prepare them for the next changes and in the process build their confidence that they are ready.
With each ebook comes a free set of chats that your child can look through on their own. They are also a great way for you to interact with your child because they review all the important points in the ebook.
You have lots of time between ebooks for your child to think through what they have learned and watch as their body changes.
It was very difficult to cover all of this in one “big talk” and these talks often happen a little too late. The ebooks I have written will help help your child along the way and hopefully open some doors for great discussions you can share with them.
